The Ballast Water Management System (BWMS) installed on large vessels is a water treatment technology necessary for protecting the marine ecosystem. The BWMS is required for installation on vessels in accordance with IMO and USCG regulations. However, in some cases, existing vessels contain BWMS that do not meet specifications. Due to the strain of design costs ranging from billions to tens of billions, a physical model is built to validate the design, which is also expensive and time-consuming.
